WRC 2027 Nova Era
Od 2027 WRC ukida Rally1 klasu. Odnosno Rally2 automobili (ono što je danas WRC2) postaju glavna stvar.
The WRC's 2027 rules introduce a cost cap of €345,000, allow Rally2-based engines and transmissions, and permit flexible, diverse bodywork including SUVs and hatchbacks to reduce costs and boost manufacturer interest. Cars will use a common spaceframe chassis but offer freedom for bespoke bodywork within a defined zone, and will no longer include hybrid systems, shifting to sustainable combustion or alternative powertrains. This new era aims for increased manufacturer involvement and a more sustainable, diverse field of cars.
Trenutno u toj klasi su: Ford Fiesta, Škoda Fabia, Toyota Yaris, Citroen C3, Hyundai i20 N, Volkswagen Polo GTI R5.
Ovo me podseća na DTM. Kad je propala ona skupa varijanta i Merc izašao serija nije mogla dugo opstati i otvorili su pravila za GT3 automobile.

Lancia se vraća u WRC
Lancia has officially announced that it is developing a Rally2 car, revealing an official video and images of its new Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale.
The Italian car maker, winner of a record 10 World Rally Championship constructors' titles (1974-1976, 1983, 1987-1992), has moved to confirm that is developing a new rally car after footage of the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale from a recent test in France emerged on social media last week.

To ensure the WRC’s top class is heavily populated in 2027 the new WRC27 spec cars will compete alongside Rally2 machinery in the top class, which again offers more flexibility to manufacturers and teams.
While Abiteboul is open to this option, Hyundai needs assurances from the FIA that Rally2 cars will be competitive against the new WRC27 models. At the moment, Toyota is the only current WRC manufacturer that is developing an all-new car for 2027.

The 2027 regulations, originally unveiled in December last year, are designed to be more affordable and flexible in a bid to attract new manufacturers and teams to the series.
Cars will be built to a €345,000 cost cap, deliver approximately 300 horsepower, comprise a space frame chassis and utilise some Rally2 componentry. OEMs and tuners will be able to construct cars under these regulations, which will span a 10-year period.
To ensure the WRC’s top class is heavily populated in 2027, the new WRC27-spec cars will compete alongside Rally2 machinery, which again offers more flexibility to manufacturers and teams. Toyota is the only current manufacturer known to be developing a WRC27 car.
Znači sa 380 smanjuju na 300 HP
Eligible cars with 1.6L direct injection turbo engines and four-wheel drive built to World Rally Car regulations. The power output is limited to around 280 kW (380 hp).
Grupa BGroup B and Horsepower Ratings: Actual vs Ingame
Ironically I have been researching how much power the cars actually had because it was something that was never really covered. As we know once Group A became the standard, so did the hp rating (300hp). Group B however experienced a huge variety of engine types and powers. Here's what I've gathered.
Peugeot 205 T16 Ingame 480hp | Actual 540hp Tarmac, lowers for gravel
Metro 6r4 Ingame 380hp | Actual 410 hp (Tony Pond actually said that was the perfect power)
Audi S1 Ingame 400hp | Actual 500+hp
Ford Rs200 Ingame 451hp | Actual 450hp Evo around 600hp
Lancia Delta S4 Ingame 400hp | Actual 450-480hp Was run at over 530hp to the driver's displeasure
Opel Manta Ingame 375hp | Actual 400hp area
037 Ingame 325hp | Actual 325hp (nailed it)
Edit: Fun tip from an Audi Engineer. The Audi S1 E2 ran 585hp at Portagul in 1986
So after speaking with drivers, owners and fans from the Group B era I was able to find some rather concrete power outputs for the cars. CM actually came pretty close on some of these. Some need to be adjusted though it seems.
